Why do they even have green band trailers for R/NC-17 movies?
I think all trailers for movies with those ratings should be red band.
Also, I'm surprised Howard didn't edit Rush down to PG-13 to get more views, especially consider how poorly the movie is doing.

So the trailers can play during non R rated movies and during prime time television.
In all honesty, the movie didn't really strike me as R rated. In Canada it got a 14A rating. "Suitable for viewing by persons 14 years of age or older."

Lots of boobies and depictions of the deed. Pretty standard R here. Now if they would have taken on the legendary couple of weeks where he took on all the BA crews in Tokyo...

I've just always thought it was a bit odd that nudity and sex receive an instant R rating, but violence and language can squeak by with PG-13 (sometimes).

Well, would you rather have young people going around having sex or shooting each other and cursing?

I just find it interesting that in the USA Sex gets and R rating and violence sometimes doesn't. Seems like it should be the other way round if anything.

But think of the children!!
In all honesty, I agree. You can turn on the TV and hear everyone talk about sex. It's not like seeing a boob is going to damage ones mind more than Teen Mom, Miley Cirus, news channels talking non-stop about Teen Mom and Miley Cirus, etc.

The US, a nation founded on Puritan ideals and violence. It's sad, but true.
